Further Advisory is currently seeking two experienced Senior Business Analysts to support a critical MRA Remediation Project on a 12-month contract for a key client in the financial services industry.
Role Overview
As a Senior Business Analyst on the MRA Remediation Project, you will be responsible for supporting the remediation of Matters Requiring Attention (MRAs) identified during the 2024 OCC Annual Exam. This role requires a deep understanding of regulatory compliance, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with executives and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- MRA Support: Provide expert support for newly identified MRAs as part of the MRA Remediation Project, ensuring timely and effective resolution in line with regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with executives and senior stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of remediation objectives, progress, and outcomes.
- Communication: Draft clear and concise documentation, reports, and presentations tailored to executive audiences, ensuring complex information is easily understood.
- Process Improvement: Utilize Lean Six Sigma, BPMN, and other process improvement methodologies to analyze, map, and optimize business processes as part of the remediation efforts.
- Requirements Elicitation: Lead the elicitation, structuring, and documentation of enterprise and stakeholder requirements, ensuring they align with remediation goals.
- Regulatory Expertise: Apply your knowledge of OFAC, BSA/AML, and other relevant regulations to guide the remediation efforts and ensure compliance.
- Non-Technical Scope: Focus on business processes and stakeholder requirements without the need for a technical solution, ensuring process integrity and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services industry, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance and process improvement.
- Certifications: Lean Six Sigma, BPMN certification, or equivalent process improvement credentials are highly valued.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth experience with OFAC, BSA/AML, or other relevant financial regulations.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing reports and presentations for executive-level stakeholders.
- Process Improvement Expertise: Strong skills in process mapping, Lean Six Sigma, BPMN, and other process optimization methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Executive Presence: Demonstrated ability to work directly with executives and senior leaders, managing expectations and delivering high-quality results.
- Regulatory Project Experience: Previous experience working on MRA remediation or similar regulatory compliance projects.
