Tariq is an artificial intelligence expert with over 25 years experience in strategy and analytics consulting, having worked primarily in financial services, telecoms, and for private equity investors. His work has encompassed commercial due diligence, market entry and growth strategies, and operational improvement – all with a strong quantitative bias. His more recent work has been in data-driven performance improvement (e.g., of sales pipeline lifts, staffing optimization, etc.) and in advising companies on the opportunities and risks presented by AI.
Professional Background
Tariq was a partner at Ernst & Young in the UK Financial Services practice and prior to that a partner with Diamond Management & Technology Consultants and part of the London Office leadership group. After his PhD, he began his career building quantitative risk management tools for a range of European banks.
Education
Tariq holds a PhD in Physics from Oxford University and an Insead MBA.
