Profile

Dirk has over 30 years of experience in assisting clients with the planning and execution of large transformation programs.  The last 15-20 years have been focused on helping healthcare companies drive customer, digital and cost transformations including mergers and joint ventures.  Dirk’s deep expertise in capability planning bridges the gap between business and technology to clearly define the desired business value and how technology can enable them.  He has experience in capability strategy development, capability and IT portfolio planning, large program transformation leadership and program value realization, helping clients not only develop strategies and plans to define the future state, but also helping clients achieve the desired future state and expected business value.

Professional Background

Dirk has been a been a partner at Booz & Company/Strategy& and EY, as well as have spent time on the industry side in IT. Dirk started his career at Andersen Consulting 10+ years as a data and enterprise architect before moving to Diamond Technology Partners where he began focusing on healthcare.  He then spent 3 years in industry at Allstate and Premier Farnell as a chief architect responsible for enterprise technologies.  He then joined Booz & Company/Strategy& to assist in building out the capability architecture planning approach with a focus on health plans, while continuing to support cross-industry efforts as well.  He then joined EY’s Technology M&A practice and supported mergers, divestitures and tech diligence efforts across industry.

Education

Dirk holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University.

Furthermore

Dirk played college soccer at Northwestern and continues to play recreationally as well as having survived his first 55 and over King’s Cup soccer tournament.  Dirk also joined bunch of wine clubs while on a bike tour of Sonoma/Napa with his father while taking a break between jobs.
