Ngoc Wozniak is a three-time Chief Risk Officer with more than 20 years of experience building and turning around enterprise risk, regulatory, and fraud functions across global banking, wealth management, and technology organizations, including Morgan Stanley, UBS, TP ICAP, and Apple. She specializes in walking into risk functions that need rebuilding where controls are fragmented, the business doesn’t yet see Risk as a partner, and regulators are watching closely and turning them into credible, board-ready operations. Her work spans enterprise risk management, RCSA design, regulatory remediation, AML/CFT and fraud risk, and risk culture transformation, with deep experience engaging regulators across multiple jurisdictions globally, including MAS, FCA, and FINRA.
Professional Background
Prior to Tredence, Ngoc was a Senior Leader of Maps Services at Apple, where she led risk transformation within the Maps Services Engineering organization directing ML-powered fraud detection efforts that blocked thousands of bad actors while maintaining a high legitimate-user pass-through rate, and building the risk telemetry infrastructure that gave the organization end-to-end fraud visibility for the first time. Before Apple, Ngoc served as Chief Risk Officer for TP ICAP’s APAC region, where she rebuilt the region’s RCSA process from the ground up across five markets taking APAC from the firm’s last adopter to its first, clearing every trading desk from regulatory probation, and contributing directly to the lifting of a significant regulatory capital charge within one year.
Earlier, Ngoc was Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer for UBS Wealth Management’s APAC region, where she led a three-year remediation program spanning AML/CFT, KYC, customer suitability, and payments and fraud controls across seven markets, preventing tens of millions of dollars in potential regulatory exposure. Prior to UBS, she held two senior risk roles at Morgan Stanley: Deputy Operational Risk Head, where she built the firm’s enterprise risk and control taxonomy from scratch, and Global Chief Risk Officer for Equity & Fixed Income Research, where she led a multimillion-dollar FINRA driven disclosures transformation to a zero-error rate. Ngoc began her career as a Principal at Diamond Management & Technology Consultants (now PwC), advising financial services clients including Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs.
Education
Ngoc has a BS in Telecommunications and MS in Management Information Systems from Ball State University. She has previously held FINRA series 7, 24, 87 licenses.
