Profile

Alexander is a recognized expert in IT Service Management, Multicloud, and Managed Service Delivery. He has successfully led large, multi-disciplinary teams on a global scale in the design, development, and deployment of new technology solutions. Alexander works with global clients on complex integration, automation, cloud and ITSM implementation projects. He is also adept at integrating modern technologies in pragmatic applications, recently having led the creation of a Conversational AI service offering for an omnichannel virtual assistant.

Professional Background

Alexander was the CTO of Services and VP of Emerging Technologies at Dell Technologies, where he was responsible for defining and executing the technical strategy for Dell Technologies Services. Prior to this, he was the CTO of Multicloud Management Services at IBM Global Technology Services, where he created, among other achievements, IBM’s first ServiceNow Delivery practice in 2011. He began his career at the IBM TJ Watson Research Center, where he built first-of-a-kind IT automation systems.

Education

Alexander holds M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from Technische Universität München, Germany. In addition to being a Senior Member of IEEE, he is a certified PMP and holds a number of professional certifications from ServiceNow and Amazon Web Services.

Alexander holds over 30 patents for technologies in the above areas and has published more than 60 refereed papers, which have been cited over 6500 times.
