He has deep insights into advanced payment technologies and trends, especially tax-free shopping and dynamic currency conversion.

Carl spent over 17 years in various technology executive global roles at American Express and 3 years at Barclaycard as Head of Risk Technologies & Platforms then Head of Technology & Change at Barclays Point of Sale Finance Lending. The first 13 years of his career was in Telecommunications product development with Plessey, GEC, Siemens & Marconi.
Education
Carl holds a Master’s degree in Microelectronics & Microprocessors from the University of Liverpool, and a First Class BSc in Computational Science from the University of Hull.
