Ed has more than 30 years experience transforming organizations by dramatically improving revenue, market share and margin growth. Utilizing his extensive tool set in software engineering, product innovation, process re-engineering, business optimization, and customer service modernization, Ed has a proven track record of shifting traditional businesses into market-leading, disruptive, and client-centric players. Ed has spent his career working in large multinational companies specializing in financial services, payments, retail banking and cards and has led multiple challenged organizations into market differentiators.

Professional Background

Ed retired from Nuvei (NVEI) in 2023 where he served as the Chief Operating Officer for eight years. During his tenure he transformed the customer service organization and was instrumental in taking the company public on both the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and the NASDAQ. Prior to Nuvei Ed was the Head of Operations at World Pay (formally Vantiv) responsible for an organization of more than 1,000 people. Ed worked for more than six years as the Head of Latin American Operations at Global Payments (formally TSYS), where he led the company’s successful entrance into Brazil creating a new Latin American payments platform and data center. Prior TSYS Ed held senior Technology and Operations positions at Citigroup, American Express, and Visa International. Ed began his career in the United States Marine Corps where he served as a cryptologist for eight years.

Education

Ed speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese and holds an MBA in Management Information Systems from Concordia College. He is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Executive Management Program, the American Bankers Association School of Bank Card Management, and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

Furthermore

Ed and his wife Mari have been married 33 years and have two children Danielle and Andy, and two grand grandsons, Alesandro and Angel. Ed and his wife Mari spend the majority of his free time traveling around the country in their Airstream with their two golden retrievers Simmy and Remy.
