Kevin Bouey

Enterprise Innovation & Startup Advisor

Profile

Kevin has over 25 years of experience and insight into the financial services and fintech industries, with a focus on innovation. He specializes in bridging emerging technologies and new operating models with large corporations, guiding senior executives through major decision-making processes in business transformation. At the same time, he is hands-on in executing strategies, working closely with managers to achieve innovative and impactful results.

Professional Background

Previously, Kevin built and managed the Wells Fargo Startup Accelerator, where he made investments in early-stage startups and integrated these companies into the bank to collaborate with business lines on proof-of-concept (POC) projects and pilots to assess long-term partnership potential. In this role, he also served as a board advisor, mentor, and public advocate for the global program. He played a critical role in creating what is now known as Zelle (formerly clearXchange) and is a co-patent owner of the technology. Early in his career, Kevin was a management consultant for Cerner Corporation, a medical software company, and during the dot-com boom, he worked as a consultant for Technology Solutions Company.

Education

Kevin holds an B.S. in Film Production from Boston University and has a few great stories to share about his adventures in the film industry.

Furthermore

Kevin spent 10 years on the board of the St. Anthony Foundation, including two years as board chair. The foundation is a San Francisco non-profit dedicated to feeding, clothing, and restoring dignity to the city’s homeless population. When he’s not at home working on his cooking skills (which his girlfriend and son say still need some improvement), Kevin enjoys exploring the trails of Marin County with his French Bulldog.
