Professional Background

Maria has a track record of delivering inception-to-scale innovation across 20 years of experience with financial services, technology, and data-driven organizations such as American Express, MasterCard, SAP, PwC, The NPD Group, TravelClick and startups. She is a former VP of Information Products at MasterCard and Director of Digital Capabilities at American Express


Maria holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and a B.A. in History & French from Vassar College. Dual US/Swiss Citizen. Multilingual: English, French (non-native), basic Spanish.


Passionate about pursuing positive social impact through business models that “do well by doing good”, Maria is Co-Founder of Vee, focused on measuring and fueling purpose-led transformation in businesses. She spent a year developing a financial inclusion product concept focused on homeless and at-risk and is looking to re-engage on equity and access to critical and stabilizing financial services.
