Scott is an outcome-driven executive with over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, including wealth management, retirement record-keeping, and payments.  He has proven leadership and management experience solving mission-critical product, growth, operational and profitability challenges in roles as an industry executive and as a consultant. Scott excels in driving cross-functional teams to achieve challenging objectives.

Professional Background

Most recently Scott was a product executive with Empower, a wealth management and retirement plan recordkeeper, where he led the Retail Product & Platform team on the integration of a $1 billion acquisition (fintech startup Personal Capital). In addition, Scott drove the launch of retirement account and taxable account products that utilized both managed and direct-investing capabilities.

As a consultant with both North Highland and Diamond Management and Technology Consultants, Scott advised clients evaluating strategic initiatives and driving enterprise-level programs.

He has previously held FINRA series 6, 26, 63 licenses & passed the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam.

Education

Scott holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business and earned his B.A. from University of California, San Diego with a double-major in Management Science and Political Science.

Furthermore

Scott’s earliest experiences serving in the US Marine Corps and the Peace Corps taught him the value of commitment and collaboration. Neither of which helped him on his recent attempt to kick a field goal at Denver’s Bronco stadium (still officially under video review).
